
Protein balls
SERVINGS: 9 protein balls
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup oats (I used gluten-free oats)
- 1/2 cup walnuts
- 1 tbsp cacao powder
- 1 tbsp hemp seeds
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 cup pitted dates
Toppings
- 1/2 vegan chocolate bar 72% cacao
- shredded coconut
METHOD
Put all the ingredients in a food processor or strong blender except for the maple syrup and the dates. Once all the ingredients are mixed (thick dough), add the dates and the maple syrup and blend again.
Put the chocolate bar in a bowl and melt in the microwave for about 20 seconds (you might need more time).
Form little balls with the dough. Then put the protein balls, one by one, in the bowl with the chocolate or top them with shredded coconut.
Finally, put the protein balls in a plate and put them in the freezer for about 1 hour. Then you can serve them or save them in the fridge.
