Seabirds kitchen is a plant-based restaurant with locations in Long Beach and Costa Mesa. All ingredients used are organic, locally grown, and seasonal.
We went to the location in Long Beach. The service is amazing; very friendly and attentive. The outdoor patio allows dogs. And, the food there is filled with so much flavor, perfectly seasoned, and it’s super creative! and delicious.
This is what we had:
Beer Battered Avo Taco
The avocado taco was my favorite, and probably one of the best vegan tacos I’ve ever had. The fried avocado had the perfect crispiness and the Seabirds sauce, cabbage, red onion, and lime gave the tacos a nice crunch and several dimensions of flavor.
The purple taquitos were crunchy and filled with hot purple smashed potatoes inside. The fermented curtido (fermented cabbage) had the perfect touch of spiciness, and the chipotle sour cream gave it a nice, subtle flavorful taste.
BBQ Jack Sliders
The jackfruit was perfectly cooked and seasoned. It was very soft and flavorful, and very savory from the caramelized onions. The coleslaw gave it the perfect crunchiness and the bunds were toasted and filling.
The corn chips were perfectly light and crisp. The ceviche was very tasty. As an avocado lover, I really liked that the ceviche was prepared with tons of avocado (the avocado was perfectly picked and ripe). The combination of cauliflower, avocado, fresh lime, cilantro, red onion, habanero, and radish was delightful.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone; vegans and non-vegans. You’ll be impressed with all the flavors. Has anyone been there yet?
